We have a new quiz edition. This can be printed off and used for your own amusement or within your community group. As you will see the theme is around our Nets for Nets project. It is humbling to think that for the cost of a cup of coffee a child from this rural community in eastern Kenya could have a safe and effective mosquito net. In some rarer cases children from Timboni school have died from malarial related diseases. Much more common are cases of children experiencing many months lost schooling and the lifelong disadvantages this brings.

Dressmaking and tailoring
 
Under The Mango Tree is looking forward to helping the older pupils and Timboni local community with vocational training, with the aim of better equipping young people for the future.

Two young people who are active supporters of Under The Mango Tree were recently married. They added to their wedding gift list, an opportunity for family and friends to make a donation to Under The Mango Tree.

This generosity has resulted in a £250 donation.

The community in Timboni has formed a football club called the Nature Boys Football Club, which despite the name is an inclusive club.

Latest information shows 30 boys and 22 girls involved.

We are so happy to report that the last lick of paint is being applied and there is running water in the hand basins. We are assured that this is the 'best toilet block' in the area. Thank you to all our supporters for this incredible gift of health for the girls of Timboni. See Current Projects for a progress video.

We are delighted to receive letters from some of the pupils at the school. It is so heart warming to hear from the children themselves and to understand the enormous sense of self-belief and expectation of achievements these children have as a result of all the hardwork the Trustees and supporters have given.
